Curtains billowing in the breeze
Like a woman’s cotton dress
Frolicking around her knees;
Currents carried on a cool caress
To soothe the heat of day.
Green life emerging from its death,
The winter-buried clumps of sod;
Decay and rot, smothered breath,
Renewed again by the hand of God,
Working through His appointed seasons.

This is beautiful. 🙂 I love praise poetry, it’s one of my favorite genres. The last unrhymed line has so much strong finality. It’s so comforting.
It took me a while to get here, but I made it! Do you remember me? Julie, the girl from Kiddie Crusoe last week. I apologize for the delay in contacting you, but I just got back to my school for my internship and life has been crazy ever since. I’ll go ahead and fill in some of my contact information while I’m here, and I also wanted to let you know how wonderful that conversation was for me last week. I live for those kinds of genuine moments, especially at work. So thank you for that, and have a wonderful day!
Julie
